    Old man fun

Well, I've now sampled the world of rc model flying. It should be fun, but it wasnt. Getting information how to set things up was a nightmare. Often advised by retailers to Google it. The book for the airframe was for a different plane. Radio hand book tells you what things are, but not what...

    Old man fun

Thats it. My mind is now made up. I've been flying the M2P for a couple of years and the camera is brilliant. However I need another challenge so I've decided to get a 2 meter RC glyder, with the intention to upgrade to a 3 or 4 meter glider once I get the hang of it. I should fill in for the...

New tower for my video editing

Just dumped my 12 month old AMD Ryzen tower, broken for spares. Too unstable. I now have an 17 inch screen i7 laptop, 1Tb M.2 SSD, 6Gb Nvidea RTX 260, 32Gig RAM. Cheaper than my old Tower, reliable, and renders a simple time line at over 75 fps. I think the OP can do better. Secondhand parts...

    Possible Mavic 3 Pictures?!

Its a new approach from DJI if it is. I mean the backdrop, the table cloth, the curtains. The soft focus (formery refered to as blured or out of focus). The abstract framing of the shots, otherwise known as crap composition. Really? a Mavic £. !

Regs changes in the UK - Nov update

Have a look at the web sites for Heliguy and UAVAcademy. They both have pretty good plain language explanations on what it all means.

Regs changes in the UK - Nov update

In my view, until 01/01/2021 arrives, nothing is cast in stone. Have a read of this: Brexit | UK Civil Aviation Authority It is perfectly feasable at the stroke of mid-night CAP 522 could go into the paper shredder and that'll be the end of that. On the other hand both pilots and training...

Do i need a UK Commercial Licence ?

There will be no distinction between recreational/comercial flight from 1st Jan 2021. It will be risk based, and brings with it a raft of new regs. You will probably need an A2 Cert of Competance. Its pretty straight forwards. I recomend speaking to one of the CAA approved schools for more info...

US to ban Chinese made drones.

imho there is more of a security risk from dodgy cheap Chineese web cams. Especially so in the current climate when so many organisations opt for online conferencing.

I'm not sure if I am in the right area but a YouTube question

When you upload, youtube starts off at low res. Then, over time, the higher res versions will appear upto UHD. Click the cog wheel at the bottom right of your YT vide to see all the versions available. Hope that helps ;-)

My talk with DJI Support regarding Litchi

In my experience, the only warranty worth a jot is your legal entitlements under sale of goods legislation, and the deal is via a reputable retailer. After 30 days, your flying solo. I know that is sceptical, but I see too many folk getting tripped up by manufacturers nano print in 'warranty'...
