well, This is a lesson people could learn.. All these people trying to help you find out why this happened and you don't download the very piece of information needed for these people BEFORE you send the drone back to DJI? These people and myself are trying to learn how and why these failures...

yep, there are many many videos of mavic hitting trees and righting itself and landing safely. but ofcourse it all depends.

do you have any problems doing this? I have so many routers and such, I just thought it would interfere with the mavic

I have the same problem and bought a matte anti-glare screen protector... it was worthless to me

I did notice some lag with the new firmware/go app update on android. mine is still 'okay' but not as smooth as it was a few weeks ago

I speculate, and it is only that, that dji is using some sort of algorithm to determine if GPS is correct and when they see these other factors that may indicate it is not, they failsafe the craft to ATTI mode. In my opinion, they didn't work this out just right, and need to tweak this...

just to be clear, the compass calibration should be nose down when doing the second part, correct?

i tried to do mine on dji assistant and it froze like 3 times had to restart each time, finally said it was all good, then when I booted up controller,etc it said I had to do it all over again.. anyway got it done. flew close by about 15 min. and it 'seems' fine

Yes that is good advice. But I don't get the problem regularly, just that unknown time, when you would not expect it. When you have been flying in the same area for many flights with no problem, then Bamm you're all the sudden in ATTI mode... that is the part that shakes my confidence.

I really want to send mine back for 'investigation' but I have no idea what that means? Do I have to pay for such an investigation? And if they can't replicate it, then I probably have to pay even more, plus time. They really need to do something about it!

I am on the latest 'available" firmware .200 and yes I have had the gps drop. So I would say no, they have not fixed it, at least for me.
