Is it possible to DIY a compliant Remote ID module? I have a kit that I built for another project, but it has everything hardware-wise to transmit RID via WiFI, just needs the code. From what I've seen so far, it seems there are no provisions for a person to create their own...

So it seems that $90 is about the cheapest option to make an old drone compliant.

I was able to successfully create and fly a mapping mission with the free version. I saw the result was the DJI curved flight path between the points rather than straight lines.

iOS, Fly App version 1.12.4. I’d have to see if I could restore my good waypoint mission after reinstall.

The DJI Fly app is crashing when I create waypoints. Is there a solution or a limitation I should watch for, such as max points? I am creating a waypoint mission for the Air 3. Even with a dozen or so points it crashes when editing the mission.

Put the card in the drone to store photos and videos during flight, then pull the card from the drone and put into the computer SD/microSD card reader slot or adapter to read them. When you insert the card on your Mac, a drive should appear on the desktop AND in the list of mounted volumes...

Sorry you had issues, @KenG . I've never had any issues reading the files on the microSD card from my Air 3 on my MacBook Pro. No need to bash a computer you don't understand Mr. @Meta4 @Robflyer Did you figure it out yet?

Anyone gotten photos of the C/2023 P1 Nishimura with your drone? It is so low on the horizon, having a higher perch should make it easier to see...

The issue is the waypoints are smooth vs “virtual sticks”, which produce jerkier video as you orbit a point of interest. You can slow down the drone speed, which helps. I have experience with both waypoints and virtual sticks, both in Litchi on different aircraft. Here is the comparison video:

Was considering a discounted Air 2S rather than Air 3 or Mavic 3 because of the Litchi Waypoints, but after reading here (and skipping over the rabbit trails) and seeing a Air 2S Litchi Waypoints vs Mavic 3 Waypoints comparison, I'm more hesitant to get an Air 2S as a Remote ID compliant...
