I agree with what you have written. As an old IT professional (Mainframes, Unix, PC's, Android), my solution is at best a work-around. But the point is: this work-around works - I launch and fly, with no satellite-acquisition waiting. The M3 gives me what I want from it.

I downloaded v4.19 and got no connection to the Mini, Mini 2 and Air 2. I downloaded v4.20 beta - and all three connected fine. I didn't fly, the tests were in my lounge at night.

I should add that what didn't work for me with Litchi v4.19 DID work with Litchi v.20 beta.

What usually works for me is under the Connect menu of DJI Fly at the very last item, "Connect the Aircraft", you are asked to press the Power button on the drone - this, while it is already active. You press for 4-5 seconds, until you hear a beep. This usually creates the connection.
