I think your right! Its a "gimmick" at the moment, but I can't see how It could make any business sense at all. You can Fill a truck with packages! The Drone has to come all the way back for your neighbors stuff. They are testing some around here... -

Nearly every house has a tree that would prevent delivery anywhere’s near a secure landing spot. I can’t envision profitable drone deliveries. I ain’t going to happen

Lots and lots of orbits. The key is muscle memory and that takes lots of slow practice. Your drone can do things the movies...
