Slow the yaw down first of all, and then find an open spot ( not your suspicious neighbors house) and practice orbits. Lots and lots of orbits. The key is muscle memory and that takes lots of slow practice. Your drone can do things the movies could only dream of just a few years ago.

Occasionally you have to log into DJI I think I’ve had that problem when I hadn’t flown in a long time.

I’m sure you calibrated the sticks. I have found that if I vigorously rotate the controls prior to turning on the power that I don’t get the calibrate command. I’ve always had minor control glitches with my 1 eg.. the gimbal wheel yawing the drone… un commanded yaws .. etc. a couple of rapid...

I don’t see much help from color in the sky but anything bright is going to be a huge plus if you ever have to do a ground search.

I would guess that there is no chance to be granted permission. I’m curious as to what information you would expect to gain. My air 2 flies fine at a density altitude of 5000 ft. That’s often the ground level altitude in the desert in the summer.

Most of those fire TFRs are the moving type. In my experience, DJI’s airspace is larger than the actual TFR. You really have to give them a wide berth, and they last for days because of clean up.
