Maybe this is a work-around to consider? Litchi Hub allows exporting planned waypoint missions as KMZ files, which can then be imported into the DJI Fly app on supported drones, including the Mavic 3 Pro.

UPDATE: The operation was successful and the patient lives!! A few words of caution: This is not for the faint of heart. Microelectronics tools and jeweler's glasses are required. The battery swelling in heat can indeed cause the battery to pop upward and lose a connection on the Mavic 2. I was warned by a pilot with just such an experience. I have a velcro strap tight around my Mavic 2 Pro and Mavic 2 Zoom every time I fly, just to ensure the battery stays where it should!
