Gee, it’s California! Ya think? The only person who knows the altitude of a drone in flight is either the pilot or the FAA/law enforcement, except perhaps that one guy with a degree in physics...but he is a story in himself. I think the “free space” that exists above any “man made” structure...

This mass hysteria about drones is just another manifestation of how society thinks today. A drone flying about in a neighborhood is not a crime that I know of, there may be something in the covenants that could make it a violation? I don’t know your situation, neighborhood density...

Couldn’t agree more. I have been a HAM for 53 years and like any hobby there have been many changes; licensing, equipment updates, rule changes etc...however that hobby still recruits new members even with cell phones, the internet, Skype and whatever else. The magic of the hobby is still there...

I’ve noticed that very few posts here are positive. Many are just needless rants that probably can be narrowed down to issues with phone/tablet and “pilot error”.

My primary reason for a filter is lens protection. I use them on all my Nikon DSLR camera lenses.

Don’t like the controller....miss the screen and it probably has to contain additional electronics for the FAA regulations regarding location and ID data ?‍♂️

Drones are here to stay, this a hobby, I’ve had many over my years. But owning a Harley taught me a lesson about hobbies; you never get back what you have invested! So, if you can’t afford to loose all your investment, then you might as well take up coloring books! ?‍♂️

I have the orange ones on my Mav 1 no problems and they are quieter. As mentioned they require less RPM for same lift, so a bit of less drain on the battery.

Charging batteries from your car’s power plug? You sure you want to do that?
