The Part 107 License Exam is FREE for some folks. Do you qualify?

I did my recurrent online, FAAST site, after taking the test there is a certificate of completion that you can print along with a wallet sized one to show you are current. Not sure if that helps you.

No flying today in LA - TFR active

Mine will not, Air2, I now have an Air3. The only reason I know this is because a TFR that was not supposed to be active, as far as the FAA website, and ForeFlight said. I use ForeFlight for work as a helicopter pilot. I believe this was an issue with a couple of changes to the start and end...

No flying today in LA - TFR active

Happens just about every other weekend in my area. He comes home to Wilmington DE, and it's TFR time all weekend.

DJI Air 3 size for case

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CD12K7SD?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1This is the one I bought a while back. It's a little larger than I really wanted, but fits everything neatly in place.

Part 107 pilots who also fly manned aircraft, is the written exam similar to the written for your private pilots license?

Or maybe a flying club. I went commercial rotorcraft and just made a career out of it.

Part 107 pilots who also fly manned aircraft, is the written exam similar to the written for your private pilots license?

With the prices of rentals these days I don't blame on not keeping current.

Part 107 pilots who also fly manned aircraft, is the written exam similar to the written for your private pilots license?

I did mine all online, then print the certificate and bring to a CFI. Activities, Courses, Seminars & Webinars - Course Overview - FAA - FAASTeam - FAASafety.govHere's the link for the course, you have to have a current BFR though. Doing it this way, it was pretty much drone specific. I'm a...

Article: Fox Sports to use first-ever drones in MLB World Series coverage

Kind of surprising. I always think of the larger media outlets having a much easier time with this sort of thing. Thanks for sharing the video.

Article: Fox Sports to use first-ever drones in MLB World Series coverage

I noticed a few drone shots from the NLCS as well. They were outside of the ball park just about the level of the lights. They were at the Phillies game, which besides being in the sporting event TFR, it's also in a zero grid of the PHL class Bravo. Guess they can get waivers pretty easily.

    Atlantic City NJ at Night

As far as the background wave noise, I would just lower the level a bit and when flying past the pier maybe insert some cheers/screams from people on the rides. There are tons of YouTube videos about sound design. It really can make a video stand out.

Is there a definitive source of no-fly zones?

Not sure if this should go here, or maybe it's own thread. I just noticed on B4UFly that it is now showing places like the Appalachian Trail as yellow, and check with NPS. It used to always be red and say restricted. Wondering if I missed something since I haven't been flying the drone for a few...

Helicopter crashes in only open space

Robinson helicopters also have a separate section of operating regulations, commonly referred to as SFAR73. They are very sensitive to low G maneuvers and mast bumping. The main rotor blades striking the tail is something that I've heard has happened in the past. Losing that section of the tail...

Most of Northeast shut down for flying on the 18th!

This weekend there has been the usual Delaware Presidential TFR, but the 30nm portion around KPHL is still showing up on B4UFLY and my Mavic2 is restricting me. The PHL portion ended at 1am Saturday morning, but its not reflected in the app, so I got up early this morning only to be unable to...

How are the film studios flying NY and DC

That's pretty cool, I've met Al a couple of times, really nice guy. That rig they put on the TwinStar is nuts. I fly a news helicopter and our gimbal is tiny compared to that thing. If I remember correctly, when they still shot film they would only get about twenty minutes until they would have...
