The problem with these types of test is that they're only looking for the immediate result of water exposure. Corrosion is the true enemy, and it won't set in until afterwards.
I feel like I should chip in here because of one fabulous concerned citizen in my neighborhood. It started out when I was flying my Inspire. A man that lives down the street from my came down to my house in a kind of aggressive manner, but seemed to settle when he saw I was out flying with my...
Does anybody have this kind of antenna used in a ground station setup? I have a modded remote with the NanoSync antenna which is absolutely amazing, but I'd like to have a form of permanent ground station antenna that I can operate the Mavic without needing to orient the antenna towards it...
I can chime in on this. You're right in that getting night shots to look great is difficult, but a majority of it comes from post. Color grading and adjustments to contrast and brightness are used, but you'll also notice that a lot of those shots are in somewhat well lit areas in the dark (i.e...
A relative of mine just bought two LumeCubes for his Mavic, and let me tell you. They're bright as ****! They look incredible from the sky and the remote camera flash feature is pure genius. I highly recommend them as a Mavic lighting solution.
Birds have pretty poor vision believe it or not, they even crash into tall buildings because the reflection of the clouds on the windows makes it look like clear skies ahead. I'm wondering if they never bothered the phantoms because their white color closely resembles the sky compared to the...
You might have the cache limit set on DJI Go to something like 2GB. Though as Plawa mentioned, it's much easier to just plug in the SD card to your computer and transfer that way.
I just installed the NanoSync antenna yesterday, so of course I find myself here in a battery mod thread. I'm very interested in the Titan battery setup. Anybody think the XT60 connector with the 7ah 11.1v Titan battery would be a decent setup that I should try?
I deal with it by not crashing :D
I feel your pain. I sold my Phantom 3 when I bought the Mavic thinking it would come soon after, we all saw how that went. Those 2 months were an emotional roller coaster.
Yeah drive recovery can easily put you in the hundreds to thousands range! If you're using the drive to store things that you don't have a copy of on your internal drive, I'd configure the external for RAID 1 that way you at least have the redundancy of a second drive. The performance won't be...
Yeah I think that would be okay. If you find that you're running out of space, or small changes like clipping and resizing are starting to slow you down you could always turn off background rendering, but with the hardware you'll be working with I don't think that'll be an issue.
In terms of...
The Fusion drive will automatically load the most frequently used items to the SSD portion of the drive. The OS and other system files are always on the SSD portion. Things like songs, movies, documents and casually used applications will be stored on the mechanical portion of the drive. I...
Happy to help! I currently have a 320GB SSD installed that I upgraded from the standard mechanical 500GB. And I have an external 1Tb drive thats plugged in for time machine backups.
