Were you flying close to the river? There have been complaints of drones flying at night around the unloading of barges. The FBI/police said the drones were distracting the crane operators.

It will maintain 100 feet elevation from your home point therefore if the ground rises then your bird will be less then 100 feet above ground level & your bird will be over 100 feet ground level if the elevation is falling.
