I use 2 x 3000mah Giant Power Lipo’s and have managed to get out over 41000ft and land with 13%power The batteries are relatively cheap on eBay , and are very good quality /discharge rate is excellent. I fly at 33mph . 2x 1800mah - 33000ft out 2x 2200mah - 36000ft out 2x 3000mah - 41126ft...

Can’t see you getting much signal drop off using that , bit expensive for me I’m afraid..

I ended up doing the same , but used xt60’s

That’s good for 1600 batteries , I recently used 2 x 1800 and got to 31765 ft / 9.6 km and turned back at 50% ( cross wind of 15mph ) Landed with 2% battery , heart was pumping a bit on return to home

Definitely worked a great , and saved you opening controller, as that looks like a difficult task in its self . When drilling , just go very slowly

I didn’t want to mute it totally , so peeled back rubber , drilled , and pushed a bit of rubber against speakers , refitted rubber , and you’d never know it was touched , Just push rubber in until it’s hitting speaker , turn on control and try the beeping , if still to loud then push it in...

Stopped above landing point before deciding to fly on to see what total flight distance and time I could get , hovering above landing point used slot of battery , so 60k is a definite possibility Was flying into a headwind of 10mph

1800mah, only been out on one long range test and got out 28084ft before Rtu with 54% battery , got back to take off point with 23% left , so pretty sure 30.000 is possible with these batteries , 60.000 total
