    MA Playback extremely choppy.

A dedicated device is possible. A media center with h264 (codec used by the air) support has the decoding implemented in hardware so can decode much more efficiently than a regular CPU (processor).

    Image/Video quality question

If you are on a budget (PolarPro filters are quite expensive) you could also take a look at PGYTech ND filters for the Mavic Air. They have a set which also includes the ND32 (for a bright day) which is not standard included with the PolarPro filters. Furthermore, the set can be bought at...

    Image/Video quality question

D-log is unavailable on the air and would give you a even flatter (less contrast) image such that the amount of detail in both the shadows and highlights is maximized. Such a flat image needs to be processed in post to get a nice looking image. D-cinelike is also a bit flat, so you should do...

    Editing software

It is always a personal taste, but I quite like the way how Resolve separates the workflow in a Edit, Color grade and export section (and some more, audio and media). It is a professional editor, so it has a lot of options. Therefore, it might be a bit of a struggle to start learning it. But I...

Mavic Air - Lens distortion (creating awareness!)

I'm loosing hope more and more that DJI will ever fix this issue. On this website, they tested the distortion of the Spark, Pro and the Air. The Spark has similar distortion as the Air, and it seems like it never got fixed by an update. I guess chances are low that they will fix it on the Air.

That's weird, you could contact them via chat (that's what I did).

    Mavic Air bad camera/lens?

I have created a new thread. I thought that more people should be aware of this issue. DJI can probably solve the issue with a firmware update for the ISP (Image Signal Processor) such that it applies the same lens distortion data which is embbed in the the RAW/DNG to the JPEG/video files. If...

Mavic Air - Lens distortion (creating awareness!)

Hi all, In another thread, a group of Mavic Air users including me found out that the lens on the Mavic Air has some pretty severe distortion when shooting in JPEG or shooting video's. Some examples: YouTube - You can clearly see the 'waving'/'warping' distortion during panning on the roof...

Mavic Air vs Mavic Pro - Image Quality Deep Dive

Both were set to manual exposure and ISO, so the metering is not used.

Mavic Air vs Mavic Pro - Image Quality Deep Dive

Looks good! There is one thing I found to be unexpected in your video: with the same ISO and shutter speed, the Air image is brighter than the Pro image. I would expect it to be the other way around, as the Mavic Pro has a larger aperture (f/2.2 vs f/2.8). Does anybody has an explanation for this?

    Sandisk Extreme 64GB A1 U3 V30

He had the same problem with the onboard storage, so the SD card is not the cause.

    Mavic Air bad camera/lens?

No, but it shows that it seems to be a software problem, so let's hope that DJI will come with an update for the ISP soon!

Then please tell us what your issue is?

I have that exact card and it works fine. The card is also stated as recommended on the Mavic Air info page on the site of DJI.
