I'm using Litchi for just such a project right now. My Litchi mission has seven waypoints.
First a waypoint near the launch point in the middle of an area free of trees. Then straight up to an altitude higher than the tree canopy. From there I can cruise from place to place without fear of...
Ditto. Dirt cheap at $27, and I can't imagine how it's possible to get so much technology for so little money. I bought it to fly pre-programmed missions for a consulting job, but I also prefer it over DJI GO4 for recreational flying.
The joysticks, map, and video feed are pretty much the...
OEM parts are a great choice - until the manufacturer doesn't want to be bothered with stocking them after new models come out. Support for staples like props and batteries should continue indefinitely. DJI has a history of throwing their existing customers under the bus.
It would be really great if you could post here instructions on how to file comments. I tried, but failed, figuring out how to navigate the bureaucratic thicket. One gets the impression that they really would rather not have to deal with you.
GPS satellites are not geostationary so at any given point in time you might have multiple satellites visible from the floor of the canyon, and at other times none.
My fix for that is to configure my browser to delete ALL cookies on exit. And so I just don't worry much about tracking cookies. These days there are so many other ways you are being tracked, cookies aren't even the major threat.

I used Drone U and saved a ton of money. You pay $57 a month. I paid for the first month, gained access to their entire suite of videos, tutorials, test prep guides, and webinars; studied for a month; took the test; then cancelled the membership. Total cost: $57...
This is representative of just one of the many reasons why I fled New York for the Live Free or Die state of New Hampshire. The fact that NY calls itself the "Empire State" pretty much says it all.
That drone could be fife years old, and if the battery has been sitting uncharged since those first few flights it's probably a dud. Add the cost of two new batteries to your total acquisition cost.
Me too - Fitzwilliam. And yes, the scenery is spectacular.
Ever in Keene? We three should meet over a cup of coffee sometime. I work part time at Keene State, and fly their drone under a part 107 waiver for atmospheric data collection. _JC_

I use Open Shot, a free open source video editor that runs on Windows, Apple, Linux.
For basic editing it's very easy to use. I produced my first drone video in an hour or so.
A really bad idea.
That would place retailers in the position of enforcement agents for a federal bureaucracy, and saddles them with liability if they screw up. Should the retailer also be required to get picture ID to ensure that the buyer is the same person as the licensee? To ensure...
