Thank you to this forum! I got the shield and didn't upgrade and it runs like a champ! The only downside with the shield is in landscape mode, my polarized glasses doesn't allow me to see the screen. But still a great tablet!

I just used a Dremel and a sanding wheel and removed some of the hood. Now I don't see it in any of my shots. Also adds a little protection in minor crashes.

Hi all, I'm flying out to Portland tomorrow for 3 days. I was seeing if there are any good places near downtown to fly the mavic and get some good footage. Looks like friday and Saturday is my best chance as its only shows a 20% chance of rain. I saw that someone on this forum got in trouble...

I have also have this hood. When flying in P mode it it doesn't show in the screen. Its only when flying in S mode it covers the top 1/4 of the screen when the gimbal is facing directly forward. Nothing a little dremel will fix. I think it will provide some protection as it is made of a hard...
