    Flying by screen advice.

You're not the first to lose sight of your drone and you will not be the last. I have difficulty keeping mine in sight if the sky is totally blue without any clouds. The other day I lost mine for a few seconds, I took a deep breath and looked at my screen. The triangle tells me which way the...

    Hello from Brentwood, TN

Welcome to the wonderful world of flying cameras! I live in Bellevue, when I started out, I flew a lot in the back picnic areas of Edwin Warner. As you get more comfortable, don't be afraid to push the limits, but there is nothing wrong with just flying about 200-300 feet and taking great...

    Can’t get sd card out

I always keep a pair of tweezers handy.

    Video Editing Software

I highly recommend Adobe Premiere, however it and most video editing software is a memory hog. I had to upgrade to a new gaming PC a few months ago and max out the RAM.

    Can’t see iPhone screen

I've tried a couple of things. 1) I got an adapter to use my iPad instead of my iPhone, the bigger screen really helps. 2) I've had some success taking off, flying and landing (especially the taking off and landing part) with my back to the sun. But yes, I agree it's a problem.

Report: US Should Sanction Chinese Drone Maker DJI for Sending Data to China.

I've always wondered if I'm flying above West Nashville observing our beautiful scenery, how is my Mavic Air going to show China something that can't already see from Google Earth? In my honest opinion, DJI capturing data and sharing with their government is waaaay overblown.

Do you ever fly over 400 ft in US?

I've found my best video is shot around 325 feet about ground level, however, a few times, and by a few I mean less than 5 have I've gone over 400 feet. Over 400 feet the winds can become very unstable quickly, especially in the spring in middle Tennessee.

    DJI drones spying USA

My two-cents are this, my drone or anyone's drone isn't going to show China something they can't already see with Google earth or all the satellites flying around.

A little confused about National Parks etc.

I believe you can fly over national parks, but you can't take-off, operate or land while standing on national park land. For example, I live just a few miles from Natchez Trace Parkway, and I can fly over the Trace as long as I'm standing outside park boundaries. The National Park Service (NPS)...

    Video Editing Software Recommendations

I've always preferred Adobe Premiere. In fact I eagerly upgraded to a gaming desktop just so I could use Premiere Pro.

    After crash in water

Almost the same thing happened to me a few months ago. First, the drone will probably have to be replace, luckily I had the insurance policy, which helped. Second, the battery was ruined, so I had to replace that as well. Third, luckily the SSD card survived, but since then it's been complaining...

    Flight restriction in national parks.

I totally agree. I live in middle Tennessee, just a few miles from Natchez Trace Parkway. I kindly requested permission to fly and get awesome pictures but was told no. National Park Service (NPS) owns the land, however FAA owns the airspace and most of the Parkway is Class G uncontrolled...

New Mavic Air owner from Nashville.

Last year I started my flying with a Holy Stone, recently I upgraded to a Mavic Air. Love it! Would like to hear from other drone users in the Nashville/Green Hills or Bellevue area.
