SO lets just say you do an update and there is all kinds a flaws...... you cant go back.........? We Pay thousands of dollars to buy this product and yet the manufactue can lock you out.....!!!!! I an part 107 FAA lic and yet DJI controls my bird..... thats wrong
I am outside the LAANC area....... and not flying illegally........ I am a Part 7 FAA operator I know what I am doing..... its only after the update....
I am in the Ft Lauderdale area...... Never had this problem b4 and I had to do an update . the smart controller would not let me fly without doing updates.......... Now i have to go almost to everglades..... it update to latest fw........
I just did a FW update...... and now cant fly at home .....I am outside NFZ but it says I am..... I have emailed DJI and typical No answer.........I have to drive 8 miles from home to fly....... This is ********........ $1800 paperweight..... I own the dam drone there has to be a way to unlock...
idiots flying unsafe and along flight paths (arrivals and departures) have put people and flights at risk...... so now we(responsible pilots) pay the NFZ restrictions......
personally I think DJI is going to kill their own business...... and if it does limit my lawful usage according to what THEY want...... Ill sell my inspire, P4 and Mavic Pro and switch completely to Yuneec

As for the FAA i think they act only when safety is compromised and people just being stupid......
I applaud all Law enforcement and military for puttin on the uniform each day and walking into a hornets nest......... we DONT give them enough credit for all the GOOD they do...... as far as I am concerned its the DOJ that is more corupt and political these days......and the courts let to many...

Only if you are a part 107 SUAS certified airmen (pilot) and the drone your flying is for commercial purposes does it individually have to be registered...... go to the FAA site YOU registered and it will ask you hobby or commercial....!
