If I had the camera view on the controller screen, I automatically would compass calibrate as SOP. So I should try another USB cable from controller to IPad you suggest ... I shall try that ... thank you ... if I can get it working I still have a half day left to do the assignment ... “sigh”

i guess I have been hitting “land” instead of RTH then???? How stupid of me ... I have a vision problem having to look over my glasses to see the screen & then have to slip me glasses up for the long view ... so carelessness does creep in sometimes ... so if RTH has no slider then I am the fool...
