I'm afraid I might have mislead you since my answer pertains to the iOS program and now I'm thinking you have asked about the Android version. Maybe they have the same menus in the DJI Fly program or maybe there are some differences. I don't know.

Right. Those are 3 places you can find the serial number. But the OP asked where "on the drone" you could find it. Because he needed a camera shot of the serial number on the drone, I believe, to activate his insurance.

The only place on the drone that I could find one is beside the QR code. It's 2 lines of text but, put together, it's the serial number. I verified this with DJI Care by looking at the serial number they used when I first got the drone and comparing that one with the one on the drone.

I just helped a friend who was having a similar problem and we got it fixed by clearing the cache and starting over. He was switching over to a new phone. I think the card or the cache or maybe both retained some info not compatible with a previous phone he was trying to use. Perhaps the same...
