I'm in the Tampa Bay area and I agree. I sent mine back and got the Glyphs. They don't have the functionality the dji goggles do, but they work well in bright summer light and, since they don't seal to your face, there is no fogging or extra sweating. You do need an Nvidia Shield for the Mavic...

I got the dji goggles and the Avegant Glyph. I kept the Glyph and here's why. The view with the dji goggles is wide and immersive. Frankly you couldn't ask for a better view. But, the goggles are heavy. And when you flip them up they want to fall off, often even when wearing a baseball cap...
