Same thing has been happening to me.

I have the MA2 with the smart controller and love it. No connection issues so far. I think it would be a great choice.

I have a small foldable landing pad that I use with my MA2. It's not always perfect but gets real close when I use the RTH function.

I second the air 2. Great choice!

Depends on how much money you want to spend. Personally, for the money I don't think you can beat the Mavic air 2. I do a lot of photography and am very pleased with the quality that I get in my photos and video for the money.

Very slow to do it wirelessly. The card reader is way to go.

Just another option on a great case for the MA2 is this Soco case that holds everything from the flymore package plus my landing pad and 6 ND filters. Also holds my smart controller. Cost approx $30 on Amazon.
