REMOTE ID IN MAVIC 2 PRO

Remote ID compliance postponed by the FAA until March 16, 2024. Now DJI has to step up with the firmware update.

REMOTE ID IN MAVIC 2 PRO

I doubt the DJI engineers give the CSRs any regular updates. They may be making progress but until they have something significant, they won't update anyone. I work with engineers in broadcasting and that's how they are.

REMOTE ID IN MAVIC 2 PRO

The second scenario is the easiest, I think, for the FAA to just push the deadline. I do hope DJI is able to provide a firmware update well ahead of when they said they could. Thanks for the perspective.

REMOTE ID IN MAVIC 2 PRO

So, it would be fantastic to know which legit temporary remedy to go with to be able to comply with the FAA Remote ID ruling September deadline. There's the "wire and computer chip" looking $40 fix from Cube Pilot and there's the $200 DroneTag Beacon. I just got my drone license so I have yet...

    DRONE CONTRACTING WEBSITES

Found another contracting website / company that seems to offer much more than just hoping to find you a freelance job one day - Connexicore. Any heard of or worked with them?

REMOTE ID IN MAVIC 2 PRO

Here's are links I found from DroneDJ regarding DJI drones without Remote ID compliance. I bought my M2P 2 years ago, so it does not have the Remote ID compliance and any firmware update from DJI to bring it to compliance will not be issued until December 2023. DroneDJ advises pilots with this...

    DRONE CONTRACTING WEBSITES

I found a contracting website today I'm sure some of you have heard of and/or dealt with. www.flyguys.com. As part of the registration process, they require the pilot download, sign, and send back a legal agreement. I am new to the world of looking for drone work. HAS ANYONE OUT THERE...

    DRONE CONTRACTING WEBSITES

I found a few contracting websites in my web search today. I hope this is appropriate to ask on this forum. If not, I apologize. Here's a few names. Drone Brothers, Nadar Drones, Alpha drones usa, weflyaerialmedia, isky films, droners.io. Anyone heard of these? Know if they are legit?

SEEKING WISDOM / ADVICE FROM EXPERIENCED PILOTS

That sounds very intriguing! I can see using a drone as a less disruptive device to float over a site, scanning the area and documenting images and giving the project participants a more accurate picture of the landscape ahead of them. Would love to go to Australia one day soon!

WHAT VIDEO FORMAT TO USE WITH 4K ON THE M2P

When switching my Mavic 2 Pro to shoot in 4K, what format is better? MOV or MP4? I shot at a park that is lit well at night and switched between 1080P HD and 4K, but stayed with the MOV format for both. Should I change a setting on my 4K television to see the difference between HD and 4K?

SEEKING WISDOM / ADVICE FROM EXPERIENCED PILOTS

I'm a professional videographer and just passed the Part 107 exam three weeks ago. I have a Mavic 2 Pro and want to start my drone business. I'm aware there are about a dozen industries that utilize drones. Humbly asking for legit leads, advice, wisdom on correct steps to start with. Thank...

    DRONE CONTRACTING WEBSITES

Thank you all for the insight. I should've started doing this months ago, but I didn't know exactly when I would be taking and passing the FAA exam. I just passed it so I'm in the next phase of looking for drone work.

    DRONE CONTRACTING WEBSITES

It's called dronezone.network and it looks like a place to find drone contracting jobs. Just wondering if anyone could tell me if they're heard of it and if it's legit.
