I was using my mini ipad 4 with my MA2 but it was lagging big time in the video and other areas. I sold it on offerup and ended buying the mini ipad 5 which performs flawlessly now. Good luck and happy new year to you and yours.
I bought an Ipad mini 5 to use with my Air2s and used it with my friend Mavic 3 with no problems. He is using his Ipad mini 4 also with no problems. I'm in the process of buying the bigger size screen Ipad Gen8 due to my poor vision. My mini 5 will be going on Ebay as soon as my larger screen...

I just took it about 4 months ago and I didn't find it too hard but then again I'm an instrument rated private pilot. I hear that the hardest part is reading the charts but as you can imagine that was a piece of cake for me. I would imagine someone that doesn't have any previous flying...
That is correct, I had that problem and ended buying a Mini Ipad 5. Problem solved. BTW, Apple gave me 300.00 dollar credit as a trade in towards the Mini 5.
The same exact thing happened to me but with a Mavic Air 2. I ended up trading in my mini ipad 4 to apple for a mini ipad 5. They gave me 300.00 dollars credit. Problem solve with the new ipad that has a faster processor.
