    Greetings From NW Oklahoma

The Mavic 3 Pro is an expensive first drone. I would recommend the Mini 4 Pro, or the cheaper Mini 3 Pro. Here are the reasons. 1. Mavic 3 Pro has a great camera, but you're not likely needing theater quality 4K video, nor would I expect you to be equipped with a computer and editing software...

    DJI RC Firmware V01.02.0100

Is it pretty easy to pair with another drone each time you change craft, say.... from the Mini 3 to the Mavic 3? Is it pretty quick?

A2S using 4K@60FPS, Davinci Resolve (free version) can't edit it

Interesting about your 4K@60FPS motive for the A2S, like me. Rumors are flying that the new Mini3 will support 4K@60FPS. I'm wondering if it requires H.265 also.

A2S using 4K@60FPS, Davinci Resolve (free version) can't edit it

DR studio will do the job on your Ryzen with Win10. The Ryzen CPU should be just fine, but you will need proxies (DR calls it optimized media). The render time for me, using an edited 4 minute video for instance, is about 15 to 20min with my Intel I7-7800 3.5Ghz with GTX1080ti graphics. Let...

Phantom 4 std to mini 2 upgrade?

Yep, I thought you'd like it. Longer flight time, 4K@30, and a much better range. It's super quiet, plus it's much smaller and lighter too.

    What would you do?

The A2S writes data faster to the SD card than the M2, 150mbps vs 100mbps. It automatically writes that data using H.265 codec when capturing at 4K@60FPS, which is something the M2 cannot do. M2 supports only 4K@30FPS. However, to edit H.265 you'll need Adobe Premier Pro ($20/mo), or Davinci...

Which App to use for Tripletek 8 Pro?

If you have the RC Pro, and don't like the 5.5" screen size, using the HDMI output, this product is an option to get a larger super bright screen. However the touch screen doesn't work, you have to use the RC Pro screen to clear messages and alter settings.

Official DJI Response to the GPS Issue

If this problem could have been fixed with a firmware mod, it would have been in the last big firmware release. They've known about this from the day it was released. It's very possible it's a hardware problem, and they selected a bad chip, potentially because other chips were not readily...

Phantom 4 std to mini 2 upgrade?

The Mini2 won't fly in winds much over 10mph, but the P4 will fly OK in 20mph winds, in case that's important to your area. The Mini2 will have a greater radio range and flight time, and it's very easy to backpack while hiking or biking, not to mention super easy to take on a plane for...

    California

It will help if you get familiar with the zone unlocking procedure. There are lots of blue zone in SD what will help free up flying areas. Generally you can do this on the spot, good for 3 days.

Mavic 3 RC Pro Fly More Kit - Cancelled!

That appears to be a h/w problem, otherwise this would have surely been fixed in the last big firmware update. Time will tell.

Mavic 3 RC Pro Fly More Kit - Cancelled!

I recall DJI is a privately held company, am I wrong? However, I recently I read the CCP invested in DJI, no joke. That could be the motivation to their bonehead moves recently.

And yet another benefit of the Mini 2-

Well, it appears that it's OK to shoplift nowadays, so why not speed and fly BVLOS? Everyone else is doing it. o_O

And yet another benefit of the Mini 2-

I would guess that about 75% of us fly BVLOS often. That would be an interesting poll, assuming everyone tells the truth.

Buying an open box new Mavic 2 Pro. What should I scrutinize?

If your private seller has flown the craft before, I would ask him to fly the craft in your presence. Check the display for horizon being level while flying at 200' AGL. Then ask him to show you the battery charge cycles. Under 25 charges would be my preference, but I presume it's less than 10...
