    My old brain

I don’t trust my brain. I just use a pre-flight checklist. If it’s the standard for full scale pilots, it’s good enough for me. Never fails!

Did you unfold the blades before fly? See why you should.

I’ve been in rc long before drones came on the scene and fly one of these, so not unfolding blades isn’t an option.

    firmware update 06.01.0670

I’m interested in this myself. I don’t want to update until it’s confirmed that ATTI mode is not lost.

Mavic Air 2 - Is it really THAT bad?

What it comes down to, and this is true with just about every new model of anything, the people who experience problems will always be the loudest voices. This makes it appear as though there is a legitimate problem, but in reality, there are far more people who experience no problems, but they...

    Neighbor went crazy on me

I don’t usually fly from my house, but I have been recently due to being on lock down. Last week my neighbor yelled at me over his fence. He said if I flew it in "his air space” we would have a problem. I told him that if he ever speaks to me again, I’ll make him move his fence that we both know...

How damaged is a blade before it’s garbage?

My rule of thumb for a prop of any kind (ie drone, helicopter or fixed wing) is if it touches anything other than air, it get tossed in the trash.

My Mavic Pro 2 is Dangerous during compass calibration.

Coming from an RC helicopter background, with helis large enough to decapitate, I would never leave the blades (mains or tails) on for any non-flight operations, indoors or out. Those good habits have crossed over to my drones, whether they are warranted or not. Better safe than sorry.

Battery Care - OK to keep on charger?

I’ve been flying RC for many years before finally buying a drone. All of my high end lithium polymer battery chargers all set the storage charge to 60%.

Battery Care - OK to keep on charger?

I keep my batteries at 60% unitl I plan to fly. I charge up the thee I have and either fly or run into the inevitable delay and end up with fully charged packs. When that happens I use this wonderful little product I found on this forum called the Phantom Angel discharger. It uses a halogen bulb...
