Are you using the supplied power connector? If not you will get slow charge message and it will take forever to fully charge. Maybe not that relevant but worth mentioning?
Can you not see the % battery level on the SC display?
Presumably a single press of the power button doesn't show the 4...
Some comments:
What do you do if your PC/Mac does not see your SC as is perhaps the most likely scenario of all if SC USB connection settings are not appropriate? Plugging/unplugging cable will then have no success. There are other posts and even a video which deal with and show how to fix this...
The main purpose of the test is to ensure you can't say later you weren't told the rules if you are caught not following them. it is not an intelligence or skills test.
There are confusingly 2 distinct Assistant 2's. If you refer back to my post you will see it is v2.0.14 either PC or Mac the other version is for other devices.
Even if new your SC has Developer Options but they are hidden by default and your firmware might not be the last one. My earlier post...
It will not be the cable. If your PC doesn't recognise the SC it is the USB setting as described in the earlier post.
Lack of memory is highly unlikely and a system reset is not needed. If there is a memory shortage just move some stuff like videos and photos off the SC.
I posted this on a UK site:
There is an update v01.00.0820 for the DJI Smart Controller which provides support for the Air 2. I don't have one but use my SC with a Mavic Pro 2 so the update is relevant to me as well.
When you start off the update on the SC (BEST NOT TO, READ ON FIRST) you may...
The January problem was that the first 2 releases had issues. Even though they issued 3 different releases with the same numbers this was not actually the root problem at least for many maybe not yourself @Checki . After the first failed install Assistant (for many people myself included)...
Problem Solved!
I had the SC still connected via USB to the PC but Assistant 2 closed. I suppose I should have disconnected it but it was charging at low power and I forgot it was there!
However decided to have a look and see if there was an update notification on the SC. There wasn't but...
Looks like for some of us the early January SC update fiasco of 3 issues of the update being trotted out in as many days is repeated again now. Unlike last time the SC did not pop up suggesting a firmware update.
Looks like some have had no issues others like me a fail.
All my stuff has been...
In the absence of a clear description of what is meant by "not working" difficult to go beyond guessing. There is a whole litany of discussion in multiple related threads on this issue in the forum going back to early January. The OP could perhaps research those? In any event a PC or Mac will...
I am guessing that @Tspencer37 had a pop up on the SC asking to update and did so via wifi on the SC with either a fail or endless loop of the same update being requested. In effect the update possibly corrupted the firmware. Can you confirm @Tspencer37 what you mean by not working?
It may...
