Here's today's attempt. It helped launching near the jump, riding back uphill and riding down which gives 160 meters and a little more room to get going. Manholes Trail is clear of trees but has the one overhead wire around...it's even buried before and after this road crossing!

Thanks. Took the Mavic out for it's first MTB ride and now I have a better idea of what I need to learn vs what the limitations are. Lesson #1 is that I need stick protectors. I got one of these off Ebay around $28. Fits pretty well but I still need a smaller option to put in a camelbak for mountain biking that will fit but survive a fall onto it! May have to use several cases for different components.
