I didn't know that about DJI Care. Ugh... Well, I figured if I can build a drone, and do a body swap of an Avata, I can probably figure out the arms on the 3S. I guess I don't have to worry about voiding the warranty... lol... Best place for parts, eBay probably? It's funny, about every month...

I bet you are correct, an update may have done something to do with it. I got my 3S at the beginning of February, and I don't remember AirSense working at all since I got it.

I used my Air 2S with the older RC (with screen, not the RC-N1), and I got alerts all the time. But still don't get them on my 3S with RC2.

But in my case I am literally in the flight path of the main airport in my area, I am about 3/4 mile outside the 5-mile radius. Commercial planes (Southwest, Delta, etc...) fly over my house on a regular basis, and I NEVER get alerted. But I got alerted all the time with my 2S.

I have the Firehouse Arc V on the top of my 3S, towards the front. A few weeks ago I took a dusk flight out to a big crane that was docked in a harbor here in Rhode Island. It was about 4,000 feet away and I could see it clearly.

That's where I got mine back in March. Took 4 days to get it.

According to DJI, the Air 2 takeoff weight is 570g (1.25lbs), with wind resistance of 18-24mph. The Air 3S takeoff weight is 720g (1.6lbs), with wind resistance of 27mph. Even though the weight difference isn't much, I'd think the Air 3S would do way better in windy conditions than the Air 2...

I came from an Air 2S, got my 3S Fly More with RC2 back in March. I really like it. It's larger than the 2S, noticeably. I like that you don't have to unfold it all to get to the SD card slot. You'll like the longer battery time. The weather has been up and down here in New England lately, so...

I got the Fly More with RC 2 in March, besides the drone, 3 batteries, charging hub and controller, I got the ND filters, 2 extra props and a carry case. The Fly More I see now doesn't include the case... I think they call it the "Fly More Combo Lite".

I had the case from them for my Air 2S... I had to glue in a velcro strap to keep the DJI RC in place. As I said, the only reason I use it is because it's slim enough to fit into my backpack I take to work (so it's easy to always have it on me). If that didn't matter, I wouldn't be using this case.

Couldn't you order from Adorama, Drone Nerds or Best Buy? With all the shipping issues a month or so ago, I got an Air 3S from Drone Nerds.
