I've had my Mavic for 3 weeks now but today, August 1st, a new law makes it legal to fly with camera attached. Previously drones were considered as surveillance equipment that needed a licence. So big happy day today :) See you around on the forum.

Take away the little sliding frame that holds the phone's side of the cable so you get it hanging loose. Makes plugging in a lot easier.

Or you may attach a usb cable between the Mavic and your computer and it appears in your file explorer/finder. I though believe that file transfer takes longer time with usb than to put the sd card directly into the computer. (But dome pc's lack sd card slot)

I have the same issue and I have a Galaxy S7 phone. It seems to be solved by putting the phone in flight mode. As soon as I exit flight mode i get the disconnect error. It also seems that connecting the RC to the phone with your phone usb cable could help. But with some instability left...
