2 Pro St. Mary's Church, Long Sutton

This is the oldest (over 800 years), tallest and most complete wooden church spire in the country. I was getting up to go to work, saw the mist and colour in the sky, left my porridge and coffee, ran down the road to the church, about 800 yards away and sent the Pro 2 skywards. I had about 15...

Air 2s Image stacking for evening skylines with my Air 2s

Thank you. I shall try and see if On1 Raw can do that type of thing.

Air 2s Image stacking for evening skylines with my Air 2s

Your 7 shots, on a burst I get that, what changed with each one please? I don't really know what this 'image stacking' is and Google is as clear as mud! Yes, I am thick, but then that is why I am a mere labourer.

2 Pro Sir Peter Scott lighthouse on the river Nene

I have visited this spot a couple of times during the day and scouted out the potential. This morning there wasn't a cloud in the sky nor a breath of wind..... out the door early then! Three shots stitched.

2 Pro Cross Keys Swing Bridge

I used manual exposure, shooting RAW of course for a tricky situation like this, wide open at 1 second on ISO 200, the first time I have taken it off '100' ! I was fortunate that there was only a slight breeze, maybe 10mph. I agree, it is a very stable platform, more so if you put it into...

2 Pro Cross Keys Swing Bridge

I am on the safety boat for the bridge works. It is being prepped for painting, which happens every 2 decades. Built in 1896 by Robert Stevenson, of lighthouse fame. Note how the bridge looks like a ship when swung open. Complete with bridge and funnel. Form and function working together...

2 Pro Warkwarth and Warkwarth castle, Northumberland.

I was up to Amble to try to fly out to Coquet island, it was a bit further than I had thought and time on station was seriously curtailed, so I only got one shot off before it was time to scamper back ashore! I had one more battery with full life, so seeing the castle I went to explore the...

2 Pro The Catch - Seasonal Transition

Great imagination, beautifully orchestrated. I wondered how you filmed the drone over the trees, you answered by saying about your wife joining in. Having 2 flying cameras is a real luxury, but using a land camera with the drone is a good idea.

    3 Shy waterfall

Wow, how did you get it to 'look upwards'? I am sure my Pro 2 will top out of elevation long before the lens looks up that far.

Learning the ropes with the Mavic 2 pro

It is always easier to gain forgiveness than it is to obtain permission! If you are doing any video work, did you realise that the M2PRO also has a zoom function within the camera? It only works in video mode, not photographic. Swap to video recording, go into the camera settings menu and in...

Mavic 2 Pro - Panorama Images... where are they?

You do, but you have to open the seperate menu to get at them. When you plug the card in to your computer (I have no idea of any tablet things, I have never used one other than as a flying screen) you have to open the card as a seperate hard drive. you then get the three menus, one of them is...

    Signal strength and ability

Thanks for the constructive comments. I completed the mission, video and stills, delivered to the client yesterday. I managed to get access (no permission) to a flat roof opposite. The building is disused and I have no idea how rotten the roof I was standing on is! I climbed the fire escape and...

    Signal strength and ability

Hence me asking before finding out the hard way. Do you think I am made of money? :) The good news is, perseverance has paid off and I have gained access to a flat roof opposite, so can fly level with the ridge and just zoom in from there with no risk of losing line of sight.
