I recently bought a DJI RC controller separately for my Air 2S & there was a spare set of sticks in the box. Almost missed the little pack in the little box with the manual & was starting to worry that DJI cheaped out, but not for us in Australia & NZ if you buy it separately it seems.
Yes my Air2S is definitely noisier than my Air2. I think it’s because it’s tuned to fly more aggressively and is slightly heavier than my Air2 so it screams a bit under maximum thrust. Like others have commented, I bought a couple of sets of Master Airscrews and they definitely lower the pitch...
I personally want to see DJI return serve on Autels Nano+ drone which is what the Mini 3 will have to match or better spec wise & price wise. I am happy with my Air2S so won’t be buying a Mini 3 but it’s interesting watching this battle from the sidelines.
Not that it helps you but I couldn’t decide so I now have both. The Air 2S is always my go to drone because you can’t beat the image quality but the Air 2 has a longer flight time, has HDR video and is a great loaner or backup drone. I dangle a 360 camera beneath it to get a unique perspective...
The drone will probably be able to fly, but from experience whenever I take my drone out of my bag and the props start spinning in the wind before even powering on, I think you’re starting to push things a bit. Probably best to fly only when absolutely necessary (e.g. paid job) in those conditions.
I bought the original Mavic Mini and now on my 3rd DJI drone so DJI obviously know whenever they offer a cheap high quality drone, down the track, when you’re got the drone bug consumers move on to pricier higher end drones eventually. A clever marketing ploy in my opinion.
From experience the Air 2S needs ‘tap to focus’ on close foreground objects even in automatic mode or else it will be out of focus. Coming from an Air 2 that was a learning curve.
Yes I agree. I took 5 min of footage of a nice foreground about 10 or 20 metres away only to realise once I got home it wasn’t in focus. Now I tap to focus in those situations even though it’s supposed to be ‘automatic’
