If you are shooting DNG then it may require further post processing of sharpness. JPG are processed further and that processing often includes sharpening. Also be aware that every factory run of lenses will have some variation in them. High...

You could try manual focus with peaking enabled to test if it's a focus problem, or a problem with the longer lenses. Do back to back shots MF and AF.
