Small Birds flying too close to my drone

I put large "Moon Eyes" stickers on the top surface of my drone and haven't had a bird issue since and before I did have issues

When you're deciding whether it's good enough weather to fly or not, do you look at wind speed or gust speed?

It really depends on which drone you're flying. I stop flying my M2P at about 15MPH steady wind. Can't get good video anyway if it's bouncing around. I also don't fly too high because winds at higher elevations can be dramatically different than at low altitude

Is it suppose to look like this... (Artifact banding on 48MP on Mini 3 Pro)

Don't expect drone still pictures to be as good as a DSLR they aren't in that league yet (consumer drones). Get a program from Topaz called DeNoise AI it is almost magic when dealing with noise. I have saved many photos using this program and it's fast. Only around $60

    Amazon drone delivery

Still don't understand how drone delivery can work without major issues. I put it right up there with flying cars just an accident waiting to happen. I would not put a multi thousand dollar drone out to make a delivery expecting it wouldn't be batted down by neighbors, hit electric wires, miss...

What's the lowest altitude you can fly at (at say 400m distance) without losing signal?

It all depends on what's between you and the drone. Low altitude means a lot more obstructions to interfere with your signal. Be sure you have your "what to do with signal loss" setting set to RTH or stay in place (hover) so you can walk around until you regain signal

Minor crash - change propellers or not?

Of course, to be safe change the propellers as you may have slightly bent (twisted) them which would affect your flying. Propellers are cheap compared to the drone so don't take any chances.

Am I no longer able to fly up the side of a mountain?

Is it possible that the air is so thin at 12,200 ft that the drone just can't get higher? so an aerodynamic issue not a software issue

What other hobbies do you have besides Drones?

I also had hobbies of drone and photography (and music) but I turned my hobbies into a Real Estate Photography business. Now I use my flying/photo/video skills for a purpose.

How do you deal with kids?

Start a drone flying school and charge the parents of the kids to learn ow to fly. The parents will either tell their kids to stay away from you or they will pay to have their kids learn. Either way you win

DJI Mavic 3 lost in forrest

I got mine here Advanced Drone Category | Marco Polo | Tracking and Recovery Solutions $275 is expensive for sure but not to save a $2500 drone and if you are on a job or vacation it may save that too. The beauty is it is not dependent on 4G or GPS it's the only one I could find that was...

    New Pilot in Bellvue, Colorado

I researched and got the Mavic 2 Pro NOT the zoom because the M2P has a much better camera in the Hasselblad 1" sensor. I am really glad I did as the videos are amazing. Remember while flying you can lock onto the POI (point of interest) and fly towards it which is the same as zoom but with a...

Should I Sell or should I keep my Mavic 2 Pro now that I have my M3?

I fly an M2P and from all the issues I've seen with the M3 I'd keep my M2P until you are sure the M3 is worthy. Also it's always good to have a backup. M2P and Litchi Waypoints are just too valuable

What benchmark defines an experienced pilot?

The problem with this poll is there are different levels of experience. If you are Part 107 licensed and going to do commercial work, you must be a lot more experienced than someone flying for fun. Also, I think there are 2 different categories: flying the drone is one and videography is the other

DJI Mavic 3 lost in forrest

I use a Marco Polo finder system. It doesn't depend on GPS or cell signal, it's self contained. I just velcro the receiver (very light) to the top of the drone when I'm in an area at high risk of losing it

Get three times your photo quality from stills...

Also I use Topaz De Noise AI software (about $50) that dramatically will clean and sharpen a marginal photo. It's very easy to use and it's almost too good to be true
