COOL!
With help of that I found some proofs. However, I'm surprised it is not mentioned in Litchi nor DJI release notes.

Litchi update
April 2017 Litchi update tells What's new - Litchi
"due to a bug in the DJI firmware, Focus, Track and VR with Immersive/Joystick Head Tracking modes are no longer usable with the following drone models and firmware versions: Mavic Pro (v01.03.0550 and v01.03.0500), Inspire 2 (v01.0.0240) and...
According to Litchi help it should be possible to stream from Litchi to Litchi Vue and enable VR mode within Vue. Is it responsive enough for VR FPV flying? Optimally, it would allow to fly in VR mode and then just to take off goggles and fly normally. I would have a mobile device attached to...
I have been flying with Phantom with a case in -18 C and with Mavic -6. With Mavic and Mophie battery case I did 6 minute flight in -24 C and then the RC to iPhone got disconnected but both devices were still powered.
My iPhone 6S is warm enough when I have a case and keep it in my pants' pocket. The case helps during flight also. I have also used Mophie battery case while flying in cold.

Mavic was...
Did you check what was the temperature of the battery? My DJI Phantom 3 Standard did warm the battery from around 10 C to around 25-30 still in those conditions.
I guess basic measures are to keep the batteries warm and let Mavic cool down. Then monitor battery voltage and temperature while flying. How well Mavic works when it gets between -25 and -30 Celcius? Should I be worried about some moving parts like motors and gimbal?
