MAVIC2 PRO took sea water for 30 seconds...won't switch on any more...any repair guy here ?

Seawater will heal human skin but will destroy everything else. I have an extreme example of its doing. Just to give you an idea of how bad sea water is: no camera manufacturer will accept your camera for repair if it was touched by seawater.

After 8 days at 80 feet in the cold waters of Puget Sound

Hi there, Just wanted to share some photos of my Mavic 2 Pro that I crashed a while ago. After shooting some footage for an hour, I was feet away from landing. As I was coming around a large boat, I pushed a stick by accident and slammed into the dock. It was a cold November day and my hands...

    Bering Sea in February

Hey friends, My client has decided to put off our trip until summer, claiming the weather would be much better. Even though I won't get to experience the Bering Sea in the winter, something that scared me and excited me at the same time, the work I'll produce will for sure be better then than...

    Bering Sea in February

;) It's a trawler, pretty new, and does look like an awesome boat for sure! I was relieved when I saw the photo, although this ship has turned once on its side in a hurricane. That's really funny. I swear I was thinking about that scenario if I couldn't land it normally. Glad to hear that it's...

    Bering Sea in February

Thanks again to everyone for this invaluable information. My trip got pushed to March, and I am happy about it. The weather should be better, and after reading up on the issues with landing primarily, I'm glad I'll have more time to think about it and practice the best I can on land. Attached is...

    Bering Sea in February

;) Believe I am concerned, especially with landing. That's my biggest fear. But this is an opportunity that's reaaaaly hard to say no to, even at the cost of having my gear damaged. It won't be worth it if my drones dive in, but destroyed drone(s) is fine as long as I save my footage...

    Bering Sea in February

Hi, I'll likely spend 3-4 days on a large fishing vessel in the Bering Sea this February. Very excited by this prospect, but also uneasy, if not scared a bit. Bering sea in February, we've all seen the deadliest catch. Sure, there is no flying in those conditions, but if the weather allows for...

Are Chinese Companies Spying On Us?

New Zealand banned them under pressure from the US gov. Same for Australia. Britain, again under pressure from the US, warned Huawei. Is it possible that the Chinese government is really spying on people and government organisations you ask? Well, let me ask another question; is it possible...

How different is Phanton 4 Pro from Mavic Air

Thanks to everyone, especially you @Paul2660 for the camera tips. The main reason I need the P4 is the footage/stills quality. If this job realizes and I do rent one, I'll have it for 3-4 days before the shoot so I'll have time to play with it. Cheers!

How different is Phanton 4 Pro from Mavic Air

Hi, I'll have a job in early September that will require a drone that shoots better quality footage and stills than my Mavic Air, and for that, I'll need to rent the Phanton 4 Pro. Because this job is important and I've never flown a Phantom, I'm planning to rent one and practice for a few days...

Commercial Use Of Drones In Canada By US Citizens

If anyone has the same question, here is a direct response I got to my email from Canada Transport: 1. Can I as a US-based remote-pilot fly commercially in Canada? According to the regulations, foreigner UAS operator operating in Canada or a commercial purpose require to submit an...

Commercial Use Of Drones In Canada By US Citizens

Well, good old Canadians have an answer to my question right here. I should have googled more before I posted the question. If anyone else wonders, here is the full answer to my question: "As you would be classified as a 'foreign UAV operator,' you will need to apply for a Special Flight...

Commercial Use Of Drones In Canada By US Citizens

Hi, I have a job coming up in British Columbia that will involve flying a drone (I am licensed under Part-107.) Anyone familiar if flying commercially in Canada is even possible for foreign citizens? I just emailed Transport Canada to inquiry about this but that may take some time. Thanks!

    Phantom nearby casing interference?

Thanks a lot @sar104. This is pretty concerning. I'm happy this happened at the beach a few ft away from me. Can't imagine if it happened two miles away..... BTW, where did you pull this screenshot from?
