Since the price difference is negligible it is best to get the M4P.
BUT if you intent to fly on Europe the older model has the advantage of giving you the possibility of flying above 120m in case of need, while the newer model does not.
The mini 4. performs much better in low light than the air 2s. Actually the Mini 3 already performs better in low light conditions.
But you are right as an aircraft the air 2s is the most stable one.
When I do a hyperlapse,which often the case , after completing I just hit the RTH button as the battery level is usually quite low to capture anything else of value.
The only substantial reason to upgrade from M3P for me would be if they put in this the Air3 version of 1/1.3 sensor (even better low light performance).
The rest are not that important really.

There are a couple of shipwrecks in Paphos area which are lovely for droning. Also check the sea caves area. Overall just avoid the 8km radius of the international airport. Other than that you can fly practically anywhere. See below my night shot from Paphos port.

Would be a welcome addition if they could manage to pack a tele camera on. Personally, apart of the main camera upgrade, I would prefer them to add the simpler propeller mounting system of Air and Mavic lines.
Put the updated Air 3 camera on and this is will be a mini drone end-game.
I mean below is a Mini 3 Pro night shot, already amazing for a drone of that size. Wouldn't you agree?
