Yeah.....I know. It was just an instinctual reaction. My fingers moved the sticks before I even thought to do anything. I'm actually in the frame of the video as I glance up, and I can see my fingers moving before I even show a reaction on my face.

They sounded fine post crash. I flew through 3 batteries and all behaved well. I did not check the temp of the motors though. I will.

I have one and it comes into view sometimes. I won't use it most times, but if a particular shot brings a lot of lens flare I'll add it on and take it easy on the sticks.

I'm going "big dog" on software. Downloaded the free trial for Final Cut Pro X and am going through a Lynda.com course to learn to use it. I also have Adobe Premiere Pro available through my employer and will try that as well, but I think if I really end up enjoying editing I'll end up buying...

Just saw your Oneida Lake video. Frenchman's Island piloting from Oneida shores? I live on the other side of the lake....Oneida/Verona area. Just got the Mavic and have only flown a couple of times. Planning on doing a flight out over the lake from Silvan Beach (if it's drone friendly).

I'm a CNY resident myself, and am glad that the crappy "Winter's End" may be finally coming about. But up here, you never know.

New pilot in the CNY area. I've only had the Mavic out a couple of times (the weather and my schedule aren't co-operating), but I'm looking forward to some nice views over the local lakes, (county) parks and Adirondacks. C
