Dead / Hot pixels in RAW. Should I return my Mini 2?

Hi, i have seen same issue shooting at night (or in very low light conditions) and using a 4sec exposure in the DNG file. I think that the "hot pixel " issue is not a bug of the mini 2 but a "feature" of the small sensor that has these hot pixels (jpg format is ok). Before reading your post I...

    Mavic Pro 2 - 905 grams???

So if your thoughts and the terminal Kinetic energy calculations using the appropriate drag coefficient are correct I hope DJI will declare soon similar values in its datasheets to be fully compliant to the next EU regulation.

    Mavic Pro 2 - 905 grams???

Beyond the imminent EASA regulation, it will be interesting to see how drones like Mavic Pro, Platinum and the latest Mavic 2 will be legalized or not! :)

    Mavic Pro 2 - 905 grams???

Is it the Zoom version? Does the scale work fine? Have you tried to check the scale weighting a L of water :) ? Thanks for the picture.

    Mavic Pro 2 - 905 grams???

A possible fast workaround is to reduce the weight of the battery, Dji could produce an EU battery version to put the drone into the C1 class. But I have no certainty.

    Mavic Pro 2 - 905 grams???

I think most European users who use hobby UAVs do not care about EU restrictions at the moment, but if there is a confirmation of this law in the coming months, DJI will risk losing a lot of business in the EU. Are there more users using drones for hobby or work?

    Mavic Pro 2 - 905 grams???

Yeah you are right, but the EU UAV regulation timeframe seems to be very close, let's see, fly and wait then! :)

    Mavic Pro 2 - 905 grams???

Thanks for the explanation, yes my calculation is very raw.... However I think DJI should declare the right UAV class over the CE compliancy.

    Mavic Pro 2 - 905 grams???

However I expect the manufacturer will soon declare (for the EU market) in which class will be associated each UAV product. I do not want to buy a 1400 euro UAV that after a month or two will become illegal!

    Mavic Pro 2 - 905 grams???

In Italy, the Enac (Ente Nazionale Aviazione Civile) is thinking to ask a fee to register Uav, is it in France the same?

    Mavic Pro 2 - 905 grams???

If my gross calculations are correct, a drone/object should weight less than 115gr to free less than 80J of energy on the ground (falling from a 70m height). A 900 gr UAV that falls freely from 70m should release 617J (vertical impact), a disaster!

    Mavic Pro 2 - 905 grams???

I'm asking myself the same question, 5gr just to lose the C1 category (for the Mavic 2 Zoom), most of the weight comes from the 4s battery, I think a slightly lighter battery (produced by DJI) could do the trick better than a speed limitation. However "rules" and drones could change in a few...

    Mavic controller compatible?

I had the same answer from a recent DJI support chat. The Mavic controller is not compatible with the MPP. And Yes, we will see!

    Never Crashed Survey

No crash here up today, about 100 flights, 20hrs on the air and more than 200 km of "registered" always in line of sight flight distance..... fingers crossed for tomorrow ..... :) At the moment Mavic is under Tech Assessment by DJI Europe for the mid flight reset camera issue!

    Camera system resets mid-flight...?

Hi, I can understand your frustration, my reset issue was not so frequent as yours but I think it was only a matter of time. Now the question is: will DJI repair it under warranty ? And if DJI will give back a new/refurbished Mavic will its quality be fully checked? Let's see .... Bye
