    Mavic Air Photos

How about gimbal? More on a swiss watch mechanism side (like MP) or rather robust like on Spark?

Know any good 3D printing forums?

You are absolutely correct about Simplify3D. At begining I used Cura, slic3r, kisslicer, but ended up buing Simplify. If you print more, or more demanding models - it's worth the money. Still, for some models I still use kisslicer as on rare occasions it does the better job (some long overhangs...

Know any good 3D printing forums?

My advice? Whatever model you choose, make sure it does have a heated bed. Even for PLA - I've been there and can appreciate the difference. You heat this to 65-70 Celsius degrees and forget about tapes, sprays, special pads... glass is the best for bottom print surface quality, maintenance and...

"Both worlds in one case" project: Mavic+Spark

I had the same, but didn't like wasted space so I designed the mounts adding one by one - here is the beauty of velcro: you can rearrange the layout like my wife furniture in the living room ;)

"Both worlds in one case" project: Mavic+Spark

Since I own both Mavic and Spark I was looking for neat solution to keep everything in one place. Finally, here it is: DroneGuard by Lowepro, initialy intended to store Bebop drone - now with Mavic, Spark and more ;) Mavic Pro and Spark - AllStars holders by krakow_marcin

    Firmware caution.

Full latest except from DJI Go app - here I keep .15 because of OTG working for Spark.

    Firmware caution.

Well, the approach probably depends on intended use of MP. If you plan to cross the limits, or just simply want to fiddle with the settings for fun - don't update. If you agree to use MP within boundaries set by DJI (I have to admit, this option carries some unknown as we can see from the past)...

    DJI Goggles vs Epson Moverio

Dji goggles have two important advantages for me: Can be used with regular prescription glasses Provide excellent visibility in sunny weather I presume Epson falls short in both aspects (to be confirmed by Epson users)

    Gimbal clamp at imu calibration

My bad of course - apologies for mixing clamp with cover ;)

    Gimbal clamp at imu calibration

Are we sure about it? If gimbal is still stabilised during calibration that means gimbal motors are under serious stress continuously trying to fight with clamp... In my opinion, entering IMU calibration procedure should automaticaly shut off gimbal stabilisation. I'm not sure this is the case...

    Polarized filter for Mavic

Whoa, that sounds simple ! Definitely have to try this on first sunny day (considering air pollution in my area I may have to wait until spring...). Many thanks Xtreme Drone Pilot !

Are these worth buying for mavic

To be honest, I can't imagine the situation in which those caps could help - maybe in dusty conditions to protect motors - but in such conditions there is a bigger question about other "holes" like air intake and exhaust that should be protected as well - so it's probably better to leave props...

    Polarized filter for Mavic

That's actually a question that puzzles me for some time - in times of analog photography, I was using circular polarizing filters quite often - they could do miracles to clarity of the image, but... there was always need to rotate them on the lens, observing the result. If CP filters for our...

    DJI Goggles - Protect lens

I can recommend those - if only you have access to 3D printer. Since design is made to work out with my printer, it may require some fine scaling to other models. Protective lens covers for DJI goggles by krakow_marcin
