    Gimbal angle - sideways flight

Hi Kris. As I have never used Litchi, I would just state the obvious, being that the Mini2 only has a downward sensor and no front/rear or side ones. A software "follow mode" will not be aware of obstacles in the follow path... ;-) Keep in mind like with all drones, downward sensors are not...

    Gimbal angle - sideways flight

Thanks for the reply! Yes, I use the horizon levelling ("follow") mode on the gimbal for this type of filming, which is when the correction occurs (it IS a feature). Have learnt to live with it and correct any skew in post. FPV wouldn't work for me on such occasions, as I want to simulate the...

    Gimbal angle - sideways flight

Hi all, I know by now that flying forward in Sport creates a downward motion of the gimbal, to avoid having the body of the drone in the frame - this is a feature given the 40 degree angle the Mini2 flies at in fast forward motion. I often shoot water skiing and have opted to fly sideways...

Why is DJI Fly app 1.2.2 not available on the Google Play Store?

If you have a Samsung phone, the latest app is also available on their Galaxy Store, if that store is allowed by your organisation.

Why is DJI Fly app 1.2.2 not available on the Google Play Store?

It's all politics, nothing to do with code stability... the app from the DJI site seems stable and functioning properly so far from 1.2.2 onwards. I'm also someone who is avert to installing apks directly (where possible) but only on the basis of ease to keeping the apps updated - keep in mind...

To light or not to light (In the UK)? And some protection?

Cheers Yogi. Guess hand take-off and landing does away with the extra clearance needed. Any issues with the sensors?

To light or not to light (In the UK)? And some protection?

Thanks ZippyDo, exactly what I would like to achieve. Couple questions: - does it interfere with the downward sensors where positioned? - when landing, presumably the strobe touches the ground instead of the back rests: have you experienced any issues with that? Also, you put it in payload...

Why is DJI Fly app 1.2.2 not available on the Google Play Store?

The notification in the app came when I launched the app itself, not through Android system. In fact, as did the "Update" notification on the Galaxy Store, when I actually launched the Store itself and looked for the app... Didn't take screenshots though... It is indeed a very...

Why is DJI Fly app 1.2.2 not available on the Google Play Store?

Heads-up: both the app itself and Galaxy Store have an "update available" notification: DJI website still says 1.2.4 is the latest. After about 175MB (of 280MB) the download from the Galaxy Store took too long so stopped and opted for the app update option... Version now shows...

Thanks AnGo, confirmed! (rated 16+ no less!!! ?)

Why is DJI Fly app 1.2.2 not available on the Google Play Store?

App update check is under "Settings" -> "About" Interestingly, first option under settings is "Device Management" which did not exist in 1.2.1 but not connected at the mo so can't quite understand what it does...

To light or not to light (In the UK)? And some protection?

Makes sense, but IMHO, the belly is the most practical position as it will almost always be seen. TBH I don't see why people would mount a led on the top (at least for the purpose of visibility from the ground).

To light or not to light (In the UK)? And some protection?

Yes, noticed they sell the Dual Lock type fasteners (which I have primarily seen used in blinds' decorative mouldings previously). Problem is, I measured between the QuickTransfer button and the downward sensors and it's only 11mm, so at the stated 18mm of the Strobon width, it won't fit. Only...

To light or not to light (In the UK)? And some protection?

True. Plenty of 3M velcro sitting around too! Thanks
