I had the same exact problem with my Mavic controller. My micro-USB port worked intermittently for the first couple of months, but it finally gave out completely this summer. I finally decided to send it in for repair... biggest mistake I've made so far. I sent the controller back on 7/11/17...

Sure... and if it was only $20, it would be even better. What does the cost of the tablet have to do with anything? If it runs the app and has enough horsepower to do the job, nothing else really matters. And like Geko said, the tablet is merely an extension of the controller.

@MavicPilot Thanks for the post. Which Fire tablet are you using? Amazon is selling the 7" version today for $39.99 so I was thinking of picking one up to dedicate to my Mavic. Is this the version you're are using? Thanks!
