    Learning DaVinci Resolve 17

I just noticed Udemy is having one of their frequent sales, and is offering Louay Zambarkji's Resolve course for $17.99 (through April 29). I took his After Effects course and I'm several chapters in on the Resolve course, and it's a good course...

Just recut my aerial reel, I'd sure appreciate any and all feedback I can get!

Looks very nice. If I had to criticize something, I'd admit to not being a big fan of the music as an accompaniment for the video, and the cut between 0:45 and 0:46 struck me as a bit abrupt for some reason. I might use the B/W effect a bit more sparingly, or perhaps make the B/W shots stand out...

    HELP. Pleaseeeee.

I think there was also an Upload All button if you go to Profile, and then click the "More >" button in the left hand column. I'm all caught up now, so all my flight records are showing a little cloud icon saying they've been uploaded, but I think when I had flights that weren't uploaded yet...

Part 107 - Now business license (LLC) for one person?

I've set up my drone business as a single-member LLC. The taxes aren't much different either way, but it's handy to be able to set up a business checking account and credit/debit card so that I can have all my drone-related income and expenses in one place.

    HELP. Pleaseeeee.

FWIW when I first set up my AirData account, it took me several tries to get all of my flight logs imported. I noticed several old logs were missing, and since I didn't need them I basically shrugged and said, "Aw darn." But then I flew a few more times, and the new flights didn't show up, so I...

    High Temp Flying

Ah, I found it. It was Low Power Mode. Apparently that throttles back some non-essential stuff to try and save battery life, but as a side effect it also generates less heat, and makes the iPhone less prone to dimming.

    High Temp Flying

I have also heard that if you've got your phone in one of those cover/protector things, and you have a problem, that removing the cover can help. It seems to be related to overheating, so anything to make it easier to cool off should help. I also saw someone on YouTube saying there was...

    Editing software

I like DaVince Resolve (and I say that as someone who has an Adobe Creative Cloud subscription), so I'll second that recommendation, and I'll also add that Louay Zambarakji has a pretty good course on it at udemy.com. It looks pricey, but just keep checking back at udemy.com, they have massive...

NEWBY I AM GOING LOOSE IT

A few extra tips: I don't take off unless I have at least 12 GPS satellites locked After I take off, I go straight up 10 or 20 feet or so and hover there for a couple minutes just to make sure everything is stable Before heading out, I move each of the sticks in each of the 4 directions and...

    First Timer!

Gotta watch those Mini-2's, they can be way too much fun. I got one last July and now I've got 4 drones. ;)

Constructive feedback! Even if it's just something small I can do better next time - let me know!

I didn't think the shots were too short, and they were nicely timed and cut to match the piano. One possible suggestion would be to vary the lengths a bit more. Most of the shots held for exactly 4 beats of the song, which is good, but there were several in a row that were that exact length...

    B4UFLY vs DJI flysafe

Fly Safe tells you whether DJI thinks you're ok to fly there, and B4UFly tells you whether the FAA thinks you're ok to fly there. If Fly Safe says "OK," and B4UFly says "Not OK," you may be liable for significant penalties if you choose to fly and anything goes wrong. Or at least, that's my...
