You don't register the drones "under 107"...you register with the FAA....if you are flying under 107 the drone must have RID...if it has RID, it must be registered...if you occasionally use one or the other, i have to imagine that they both have RID, hence both are subject to registration...

If you do look around and click you will get to this...which confirms 14 as minimum age to take test but I do not see anything about the parent being able to vouch for the minor

IACRA only has the information posted from when you passed the test for 107 to begin with. You should be able to find an old email from FAA safety with the information regarding the date you passed the test to remain current. It does not seem like a satisfactory or thorough accounting of your...
