I am missing something...how is your experience different?...I know you can't fly a coat, and you cannot wear a drone...but you both paid the tax, tariff, duty...whatever you want to call it...I despise the Times, but I don't think they get any thing out of making stuff like this up...I believe...

Put UAV Forecast APP on your phone .....it gives you all sorts of data at altitudes chosen by you...so you can see the wind speed at ground level AND at any altitude you want to know about

Have you tried contacting ebay?...did you pay with paypal?...did you try them?

You don't register the drones "under 107"...you register with the FAA....if you are flying under 107 the drone must have RID...if it has RID, it must be registered...if you occasionally use one or the other, i have to imagine that they both have RID, hence both are subject to registration...
