I fly my Air 3 All fishing boats at long distances over open sea. I have noticed that my signal (icon RC2) often goes from full strength to to loss of signal very rapidly. My Mavic signal decreases much more gradually and linear.

I have no idea what the DJI ESC limits are but over 100 degrees seems very high if it's centigrade. Max continuous limit on all my conventional aircraft is around 75 C. Most will fail or have a short life above 120 C.
