    Wide angle lens finally shipping

Yes. I have also bought several drones and accessories from them. They are reliable, fast (when they have it) and consistently fairly priced. I really on them too.

DJI RC 2 worth it over the regular controller?

Completely agree. Flying with a phone gets old very quickly. Even with a small tablet (like an Apple IPad mini). I have the RC Pro w my Mavic 3. It's a dream.

    Line of Sight?

I'm a 107, and I routinely fly in unrestricted airspace 'near' several restricted areas (one is for helicopters). I have, occasionally, and momentarily, 'lost' VLOS, but immediately turn all my total attention to regaining it. Flying BVLOS in such an area is not only illegal, but dangerous. But...

Is the RC Pro really worth $1000?

I love it. I use it with my 2S and Mavic 3. Easy peasy: No cables, no tablet or phone to hook up, lots of programmable buttons.Very good screen. But, compatible with only a few drones, and newer ones will not likely be backwards compatible with it. If you're thinking of a Mavic 4 in the future...

Using the Air 2s with an Air 2 controller?

I agree. I use the RC Pro controller w Mavic Air 2S and Mavic 3, but cannot with the Mavic Air 2. Question: Can I use the DJI controller that ships with the Air 2S for the Air 2? If so, is there any advantage to using the 'newer' stock controller? Thanks for your help

    BVLOS question.

I don't know, unless I'm actively photographing a subject, or taking video, I'm always looking at the drone, and not my controller screen.

California Redwoods, State Park or National Park?

CA law generally permits in state parks, "unless prohibited". Which means 1) check their web site; 2) call them; and/or 3) look for the general information sign at the park. In my experience they will always have a notice stating "No Drones" if it's prohibited (but not necessarily one expressly...

    512GB microSD cards on Amazon

Completely agree. I use super fast 32GB to 128GB (if I'm doing lots of 4K Video). Remove them/upload content to computer after every flight/job. Format them in my Mavic 3 before using again. Seems to work well for me.

DJI RC Pro Controller vs RC, RC-N1? Advantages?

    Ease of use; portability; stability

State Farm Personal Property insurance really came through for me after I crashed my drone. 65 dollars a year to get a payout of $600 for repairs.

What are you doing for liability insurance (e.g., if you have a fly away and the drone crashes into someone, their house, or their car)? I'm a bit worried that a serious accident with personal injuries could put me and my family at financial risk. I've been flying for 4 years, never crashed, but...

New Pilot : SF/Bay Area California

In addition to all the other advice: #1 IMHO is to be super vigilant in observing not only the letter of local laws, but also try to be as unobtrusive and respectful of people as possible. Many people are anti-drone, quick to complain to authorities (even if you've gone nothing "wrong"), and...

Should I return my new drone?

Sorry, but I don't believe most responsible pilots, particularly those with an FAA license, violate this rule because it could be dangerous to others.

Why not to get the Fly More Combo?

Yes. Batteries and ND filters enough.

After a flight do you format SD (after saving media)

I remove micro SD card & transfer to computer. Then put back in MM. When fly again, reformat before takeoff.
