Good day, everyone! Need some help - This July I'm making a bucket list trip across the USA. I'm driving US Hwy 20 from Boston, MA to Newport, OR. I'll be bringing my Mavic with me and hope to stop along the way to get some video of the trip. I really want to get a little footage in downtown...

Same thing happened to me last month, so I went ahead and bought Lichti. Slightly different interface, but I've been able to use the basics without any issues.

As a fellow, Noob... I'd love some clarification on this. Can't fly over people... I took this to mean flying over crowds. I only watched the video once, but my perspective was that it was flying NEAR people on the beach but was not overhead... and that the drone was largely over water but...

Does the video look choppy when you view the raw footage or is it after processing your edit? Matt

We had 160 acres growing up. Combination of pasture land and woods/trails. Really wish I could go back there and fly. You're absolutely right, though... flying through the woods is night-and-day different from flying above them. I would probably use tripod mode if I were flying in a similar...

Thanks for posting the video. It's nice to see what others do for practice instead of just seeing finished projects. I used to live on a property which had extensive wooded trails and would have been ideal for this type of flying/shooting. Sadly, now I live in suburbia so I don't get the same...

I'm noticing this when I fly low over flat ground. It seems to drop a few feet of altitude as the aircraft flies away from me. The sensors do their jobs and keep me safe, but I shudder to think of doing this over water. Extra cautious is exactly right!!!

I, too, am fascinated by this thread. Of course, I'm also experiencing my stomach twisting in knots as I read the posts about lost drones. I think I'm an equal-opportunity chicken. I'm equally terrified of crashing my drone in lakes, rivers, and oceans... as well as trees, power lines, and...
