Is the rear avoidance sensor stopping you? Obviously if you're in an open area, above anything, the answer is no. Weird. Good luck!

Unusual in my Mavic P experience? 400 flights, no crashes, photos, video from 1- 2.5 miles . No fly aways, . Max distance 3.2 miles.

Um, the Mavic Pro doesn't have antennae to unfold. The Mavic Air does.. And you really need to unfold them.. That said the Mavic Pro is AMAZING. Total control at 2+ miles out, excellent battery life. Still my go to for general flying.

I can see it out to 800-1000 ft depending.. Can I see its attitude or direction of flight at that distance? Nope.

Does not affect RTH at all. Just make sure you set RTH altitude appropriately, and that the mpp acquires that home point at takeoff.

You should have no problem in either mode. Don't turn the sensors off. No need. Just heck the wind at your altitude- don't fly directly downwind on the outward leg if there's a lot of wind. And, watch your battery consumption. I've flown this far and farther over water lots of times. You...
