Definitely not my style for a daily carry bag. I like a "bag" looking bag so I went with a backpack. That does look like it offers serious protection for accidental drops (off a 2 story building).

Good explanation. I just wish the folks that designed it actually made it simpler. It's not "that bad" but it could be simpler/easier.

You might want to check with your state's insurance commissioner (don't bother asking the agent) to see if a Mavic claim counts as a ding on your record like a car accident does. It does in quite a few states (if not all of them).

I have the Skytreat. It's arm can be extended so you can see the RC screen and have the video screen closer to your eyes. It's lightweight, inexpensive and it folds down pretty flat for storage.

I'm surprised no one has come out with a set of landing gear connector arms similar to what the Phantom has.

I think your best bet would have been to drop altitude to avoid the higher speed wind. It looks very flat there but it still should have helped your ground speed.

How does the RC screen help? Does it display different info than usual stuff (no one looks at) when/if the app drops out? What info is that screen displaying that's going to stop you from "flying blind"? I can see the RC screen with my Skytreat but don't see a need to do so.

It doesn't seem to be designed to compete w/ anything, it's missing too many features. Folding arms are the future, but DJI has a great method (patent?) that saves on space. I agree w/ whoever stated it wouldn't be getting any discussion if it wasn't from GoPro. Oh, and I hate the Fish Eye look...

That's what I bought too. I know they had trouble with the knurling on the arm but mine seems pretty strong and I'm very happy with it. I love that it makes the screen appear larger which is the point, right ;)
