I also leave my battery in my MP2 while storing it in the case. I keep it in, either full or discharged, because I think of it keeping the battery compartment clean, from dust settling on the contacts. This coming March will be 2 years with this fantastic drone.
I bought and use my ND filters so that I can go down a couple of stops (more open aperture) for a more cinematic look. It hasn't blurred anything. I have experience beautiful videos using these filters. I know that when you open a still camera's aperture, it will give you a nice bokeh...
Getting back to the subject of this thread, I naturally cringed bigtime when I saw that. To me, it was opening a huge can of worms that I prefer to leave sealed. We have enough pissed off people as a whole while we're just trying to film something beautiful. This will enflame those who are...
I always shoot in Raw. I haven't investigated HDR on the Mavic yet but my guess is you can only use it by capturing in Jpeg. With my Canon I can shoot HDR in RAW but have to convert them to jpeg first for layering. If I want the camera to do it, I have to shoot in Jpeg which I dislike doing.
Now is the time for a little patience. This is the US Government and they move at their pace, not at a civilian pace unfortunately. I went on the IACRA website and after about 6 days I was confirmed that I passed the test, was in their system and the temp. license could be printed for...
I live near Lake Champlain (borders Vermont & New York) and will be flying over the lake this summer to take some video clips of summer water sports/fun for a video project that I'm planning. This will be my 1st Summer with my M2P. So as you can tell, I am completely inexperienced over water...
I too am searching for a great tab to use with my M2P. I love my phone with it but as I'm getting older, I need a bigger screen. Funny thing is I NEVER gave quality a thought when I first got my Mavic 2 Pro. I immediately hooked it up using my el cheapo LG TracFone. The thing cost me $88.00...
You are right in that it turns off cellular and BT but it doesn't turn off GPS. The GPS and flight of the craft works PERFECTLY in Airplane Mode. I've been doing it for 3 mos with no issues whatsoever. Even the RTH is spot on in Airplane mode.
You are so right. I hear one thing from an FAA guy and from people here, then read something completely to the contrary. I have printed out the documents that say I can locate my VO in a location I designate so that between the both of us my sUA will be in the VLOS at all times and that we can...
Hey Allen,
I'm just trying to get to the bottom of the truth. I know you've gone 'round & round wiht this topic many times...sorry that it's one more time. I was completely and utterly on-board with you and the FAA guy, then I read these two documents which spells out exactly what I now...
No allowance for VO in recreational use? Read this. How can I misread that? I underlined it so that you can read it, and you DON"T need to hold your mouth just right.
Please explain to me what Co-located means to you? In direct communication can mean 2 way radios. To me this is black and...
