I has similar situation with similar damage inflicted on the Mavic. The Mavic is now with DJI for evaluation purposes. I am waiting to hear what caused it. I do believe there is a problem with firmware

I had the same, 10 min after a new battery the drone flipped over and crash without apparent problem. You have a case - turn to DJI and show your flight log (if you used DJI GO). BTW, I found same story with a VLOG lady at: Something with the Mavic is wrong - DJI need to find why

Apple's IMOVIE works for me. It is not with the most options and capabilities but intuitive and does the job in terms of cutting, adding music and text.
